Chiropractic Care for Over 5 Years!

Our Past

We are excited to celebrate proving chiropractic care to Newmarket and East Gwillimbury for over 5 years! Chiropractor Dr. Judith McCann opened the doors to Haptic Health and Chiropractic in January of 2015. We were located in Newmarket for 2.5 years. In 2017 we had the opportunity to relocate the clinic space to Sharon, East Gwillimbury where the doors opened a second time.

Over the years we have been a part of the Newmarket and East Gwillimbury communities, both in a volunteer and business capacity. Additionally, Dr. McCann has provided talks to local businesses and at health fairs on how to keep healthy, prevent injury, and what to expect with chiropractic care.

Dr. McCann volunteered as a medical practitioner providing chiropractic care at the 2015 Toronto Panam Games (left). We shared a health information booth at the Newmarket street fair alongside a local Naturopathic Doctor (middle). Haptic Health and Chiropractic participated as a vendor at the East Gwillimbury Home Show (right).

Our Present

Our location in East Gwillimbury provides a homey feel. A small waiting area is shared between the chiropractic clinic and clients of Lamppost Counselling Services. An onsite restroom is available as needed. Our clinic room has space for chiropractic and acupuncture care and an area for exercise rehabilitation.

In addition to growth of the practice, we have also seen growth in business practices. We now offer emailed receipts, online rehabilitation exercises (video and description), and access to your patient portal for online booking and appointment history! While not affecting patients directly, we have also made the switch from paper records to electronic health records, and communicate through online fax with appropriate health clinicians when necessary.

Direct billing is available with some insurance companies. In addition to private care, we also provide services for WSIB patients and motor vehicle accident patients.

Dr. Judith McCann did her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Queen’s University, her chiropractic degree at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and her contemporary medical acupuncture accreditation at McMaster University.

Building a practice rooted in evidence based care means focusing on best available research, clinical experience, and patient preferences. We are lucky to be living during a time where research is vast and ongoing. Despite this, there is still much we don’t know, and a lot we can still learn.
